Sorry cat lovers, dog lovers won. I don't dislike cats, but I prefer dogs. Dogs are loyal companions and can serve a purpose. I know many single women who have dogs for security purposes. Even if you do not have a guard dog; all dogs are alarm dogs. It has to be said that I am a bird lover and I have always resented the bird/cat debate.
